Located in Whitehouse, Troup & Overton, La Hacienda strives to be the standard in Tex-Mex dining.

La Hacienda is not only the product of a dream but also the result of determination to create a new future. Arnaldo & Norma became US citizens shortly after immigrating from Mexico. In 2002 they opened up the first location in Whitehouse, Tx and the Troup & Overton locations followed suit shortly after. Prior to La Hacienda, owner Arnaldo D. Hernandez worked for the salt-mining company, Morton Salt. However, in 2000 he was put on permanent disability due to a work related injury and was told he would not be able to work again. Naturally, he did not accept that and set out to fulfill his American dream.

The Whitehouse location was remodeled from what was previously a local vitamin shop and initially was half the size of what it is today. Every so often, the interior and exterior are updated to keep up with ever-increasing business. In 2004 Troup La Hacienda opened and the building was purchased by the Hernandez' in 2005. The Overton location has become the latest addition, it is a La Ha conversion of what was previously another food establishment. Owners Arnaldo & Norma strive to pay great attention to detail and customer needs. By bringing quality to the table, along with some “Texan-ized” versions of traditional plates, a pleasant dining experience is the goal. After 18 years, it can be seen in the customer satisfaction ratings.
